Cory Barnhart - 4-ptr Hoppe Style
Fresh from the shop of 2025 Cue Maker of the Year Cory Barnhart, this cue is a beautiful modern interpretation of the classic American Hoppe-style player. Clean, balanced, and built with unmistakable precision, it reflects exactly why Barnhart’s work has become so respected among serious players and collectors alike.
The forearm is crafted from beautifully roasted Birdseye Maple, showcasing rich caramel tones and dense natural figure throughout the wood. The roasting process gives the maple a deeper, warmer appearance while enhancing the dimensional movement of the Birdseye under light. Paired against the four razor-sharp Gabon Ebony points, the contrast feels timeless and elegant — a traditional design executed with a modern level of precision.
One of the details that immediately stands out is the quad veneer work surrounding each ebony point. The veneers add just the right amount of visual energy to the cue without overwhelming its clean player-oriented aesthetic. Combined with Cory’s precise point alignment and sharp execution, the cue carries the refined look that collectors have come to expect from high-end Barnhart builds.
The black leather wrap ties the entire cue together perfectly, giving it a confident, understated appearance while maintaining a comfortable and secure feel in hand. The darker tones of the wrap flow naturally into the ebony butt cap and points, creating a very cohesive overall presentation.
Adding another level of refinement are the Super Tusk joint and classic Hoppe ring, which provide a crisp visual contrast against the darker woods and materials. Cory also incorporated elegant silver dot rings at the joint and above and below the Hoppe ring, adding subtle brightness and detail throughout the cue. These small touches elevate the cue without distracting from the clean overall design.
