Widely regarded as one of the elite cue makers, Marcus has built his reputation on an unwavering commitment to precision, innovation, and excellence.

After establishing his billiard service business in 1991, Marcus founded Arthur Queue in 1996, named in honor of his grandfather. Since then, he has continuously refined his work, blending traditional cue-making techniques with advanced engineering to achieve a rare harmony of technical precision and modern European design. The result is a distinctive aesthetic—clean, understated, and quietly sophisticated.

Marcus’s reputation was firmly established at the 2006 International Cue Collectors Show in Las Vegas, where—among a golden generation of legendary American cue makers such as Ernie Gutierrez, Tad Kohara, Bill Schick, and Bill Stroud—he earned second place as the only European cuemaker invited. Achieving this at such an early stage of his career was a clear testament to his natural talent, proving that within just a decade of founding Arthur Queue, Marcus had already reached a world-class level. In 2008, he further solidified his standing among the elite by capturing the prestigious Collector’s Choice Award.

From my perspective, what truly sets Arthur apart is Marcus’s relentless drive to keep pushing his work forward. He’s not someone who settles once a cue looks good—he’s constantly refining the performance. You can see it in the details: the integrated weight and balance adjustment system built directly into the shaft gives players a level of customization that’s rare at this level, without sacrificing feel.
