Josh Treadway - 2025 ICCS Show Cue

Handcrafted by master cue maker Josh Treadway, this 2025 ICCS Special Edition cue is another outstanding example of Josh's ability to blend traditional cue aesthetics with modern precision and refinement.

An ICCS Show Cue is the cue maker's selected showcase piece for the International Cue Collectors Show (ICCS). It represents the maker's finest craftsmanship, creativity, and technical ability, and is presented for collectors and attendees to vote on during the show. This is a truly one of a kind, highly collectible gem.

The cue features a beautifully figured Granadillo forearm, with matching Granadillo boxes carried throughout the entire design, creating a level of continuity and balance that immediately stands out to experienced collectors. 

Granadillo (Mexican Rosewood) is a dense, highly resonant Central and South American hardwood famous for its rich reddish-brown hues, swirling grain, and excellent acoustic properties. 

Every white element on the cue  is crafted from Supertusk, giving the design a crisp, clean contrast against the darker Granadillo. What truly elevates the execution, however, is the extensive amount of handcrafted silver work carried throughout the cue. Fine silver lines flow thought the handle, fine silver veneers along the shaft, fine silver inlays, and fine silver veneers along the inlayed boxes.

The amount of silver detail involved in this build is significant, yet it never feels excessive or distracting. Instead, it enhances the overall elegance of the cue, giving each section more depth, separation, and visual balance. Under changing light, the silver subtly catches reflections and outlines the Supertusk work beautifully, creating a sophisticated layered effect that photographs well but is even more impressive in person.

Because the cue wasn't fully completed in time for the ICCS, it didn't make it into the ICCS auction, allowing me to acquire it after the show.
