FarEast - The "Mountain Splyse"
Crafted in Japan by Mr. Saruyama of FarEast Cues, this stunning cue showcases the refined precision and understated elegance that Japanese cue making is known for. Built from beautifully curly-grained Rosewood, the cue displays rich reddish-brown tones with deep curly figure that seems to shift and glow under changing light. The wood alone gives the cue an incredibly luxurious and sophisticated presence.
This is FarEast’s intricate 24-point design, featuring twelve forward points and twelve reverse points executed with exceptional sharpness and symmetry. Despite the complexity, the cue remains clean, balanced, and elegant throughout. The precision of the point work, veneers, and overall execution reflects the incredibly disciplined craftsmanship behind FarEast cues.
The cue comes with both a Type 0 and Type 1 shaft, offering two distinct playing experiences. The Type 0 shaft follows FarEast’s more traditional construction philosophy, delivering a solid wood feel with rich feedback and excellent energy transfer. The Type 1 shaft features a lightweight front-end and carbon-fiber core technology designed to reduce cue-ball deflection while still maintaining the natural feel of a premium wood shaft. - Notes: I acquired this cue through a trade while I was in Korea in 2024. The cue was obtained the very first day the dealer in Korea received it, and I took it immediately. The cue remains completely unplayed — no one has ever hit a ball with it. I bought it because I wanted to play with it, but I had too many cues to play with. This cue has perfect butt and shaft weight, don't miss out.
